MRFC Meetings and Tree Sale Canceled

Fellow MRFC Members: As you know, in order to slow the transmission of the coronavirus, public gatherings are currently prohibited or at least strongly discouraged. According to the expectations of public health experts, this will continue for weeks and quite possibly longer. Therefore the MRFC Board has reluctantly decided to cancel our club’s monthly meetings until further notice. When a resumption of meetings becomes possible, we will notify the membership by email, website, and the newsletter.

We have also officially canceled the MRFC tree sale scheduled for May 17, 2020. This is a disappointment to everyone involved, but the Board sees no way to conduct the sale in a manner that would ensure the safety of our volunteers, vendors, and customers. Our next sale date will depend on many factors still unknown.

The Manatee Rare Fruit Council has compiled this list of tree sale vendors who are willing to arrange direct sales to interested customers. We provide this purely as a service to our vendors and customers, and the MRFC accepts no responsibility for the accuracy of the information or the consequences of its use.

Most importantly, we wish the best for everyone who is facing health, financial, or other challenges due to the coronavirus outbreak.
