Dr Matt Snow was born in Miami and has been interested in plants since he was very young. He has been a commercial farmer of avocados, longan, lychee, jackfruit, mangos, and dragonfruit. Additionally, he manages an organic blueberry farm in North Carolina. He is the current president of the Rare Fruit Council International, Miami. 



There will be the usual plant raffle and tasting table. We welcome donations of edible plants and fruit for the raffle and fruit dishes for the tasting table. Donors will receive a free ticket for the raffle. Additional tickets can be purchased

Those who are interested in participating will need to bring the following material: 

A potted plant with the stem the size of a pencil, can be a bit larger but not much more.
A handful of wet sphagnum moss in zip loc bag.
couple of twist ties.
Foil
a grafting knife or pliers.

**For the July month meeting, we want to have a mango tasting and competition among our mango growers in the club.

Members are asked to bring their varieties of mangoes, cut up into serving 1 inch chunks labelled with the variety name, growers name should be on bottom of dish, Growers are asked to bring as many varieties as they can. The members will taste and vote for their favorites, winner of the most votes will win $50.00 as first prize, second prize will win $25.00. In addition to this event we will also have our speaker Ian Greig on pineapples.**

Raincube allows users to water smart and take control of water in a new and easy to use way. We will learn how easy it is and how exciting having having RainCube makes each rainfall. We will also learn about how this can help Florida aquifer's saltwater intrusion issue while saving consumers money and making gardening and tree growing easier.

Dr Richard Campbell, Chief Science Officer at Ciruli Brothers LLC, will be speaking to our group about growing rare fruit trees in Florida as well as sharing information about their Mango Orchard in Homestead. 

Prior to taking his position at Ciruli Brothers LLC, Richard was the Director of Horticulture and Senior Curator of Tropical Fruit at Fairchild Gardens.
